These hand-made bookmarks are produced in-house in sustainable fashion with remnant one-of-a-kind* yardage that was replicated specifically to match Mr. Rogers sofa on set of his tv series—Mister Rogers' Neighborhood—filmed miles from our former storefront in Lawrenceville, in Pittsburgh, Pa at the Public Broadcast ServiceWQED.
In 2018, an American documentary biopic “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” about Fred Rogers—television host, producer, minister, and writer—starring Tom Hanks, was also filmed and produced here in Pittsburgh, Pa.
We discovered the remnant bolt of fabric just sitting at the upholstery store where the official artisans were recruited to recreate Mr. Roger's original sofa for use in the film.
For every hat sold, spruce & adorn™ will be making a donation to our local Independent Television Station and former home of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, WQED.
